How to Host a Super Bowl Party on a Budget!

The Super Bowl is here!

Whether you are rooting for the Seahawks or the Broncos or simply a football fan, you are most likely having or planning to attend a Super Bowl party.

Not only can planning a party be time consuming, it can also be a potential strain on your budget!

Here are 5 tips to help you put together a killer Super Bowl party without draining your budget and energy.

Host a Potluck Party-

Ask friends to bring their favorite dish! Hosting a potluck is a great way to cut down on time and costs related to preparing a meal for a large group. You may even end up with a lot more food if each person brings a dish rather than making every dish yourself! With each invitee pulling their own weight, there will a greater variety of food and it’ll be less costly to the host.

Bring your own booze! Drinks can be expensive, especially wine and liquor. Ask each guest to bring an alcoholic beverage of their choice to help decrease costs. This also ensures that each person has a drink that they actually like to drink. Remember to drink responsibly.

Buy food and drinks in bulk-

When shopping for food and drinks, think about buying these items in bulk. If you are having a big party, you may be able to cut down the costs by buying in bulk. But make sure the items are worth the price and that they are none perishable so any leftovers don’t go to waste.

Look for coupons-

Before heading out to do your shopping, check your local paper and the internet for coupons to save on food, drinks and party supplies. Each coupon may not seem like much, but if you accumulate enough of them, you will be surprised at how much money you can save.

Use social media to invite guests-

In this day and age, envelopes and stamps are going by the wayside and Facebook invites are becoming more common, as they are faster, easier and cheaper to get the word out.

Say no to Gambling – If you have extra money to throw away, then you can participate in a Superbowl pool, but if not try to say no. It’s hard when your office, family and friends may be encouraging you to participate in a pool but remember that chances are against you that you will win big, or even win your money back. If you are tight on money it is a good idea to pass, rather than watch your hard earned money go into someone else’s pocket.

Your Super Bowl party should be a fun and festive time with friends and family. A little thinking and preparation beforehand can go a long way toward eliminating potential stress as well as cut down on costs and time devoted to preparations. Enjoy the festivities and go team!

What People Have to Say

I just wanted to thank your entire staff at The Law Offices of Leslie H. Tayne, for helping me get out of debt. If it wasn’t for your firm, I would have never been able to resolve my $13k worth of debt in less than 3 years. Your staff did a great job, I was finally able to buy myself a brand new car without using a cosigner. I can’t tell you again how happy I am. I would recommend your services to anyone.

I sleep like a baby at night now because of the work that you and your office have done. Rest assured that I will refer anyone I know to your office with conditions that are similarly circumstanced.

R.S. Client 2012-2014

You have been very helpful at first directing me in the right direction when I had no clue how to go about handling everything, I really appreciated all your advice and help and hope we can work something out. Thanks again for all your help and kind words, and patience.
